Turning research into stories, experiences, and public engagement.
I am Daniel Bangura, a research creator and documentary storyteller based in Germany. My work explores how research can move beyond academic spaces and become something people can see, feel, discuss, and experience. Through documentaries, visual storytelling, design, exhibitions, and public events, I transform complex ideas into accessible stories that connect people across cultures and communities. My projects have explored climate change, memory, culture, history, music, and social change, with a particular interest in stories emerging from Africa and the African diaspora. I hold a Master's degree in Digital Narratives from Germany and have worked with organizations including UN Climate Change, GIZ International PtX Hub, and BBC Media Action. Today, I am building a growing body of work at the intersection of research, storytelling, and community engagement.

01
Research & Storytelling
I transform research, history, culture, and complex ideas into accessible stories. My process combines investigation, analysis, and narrative design to create documentaries, visual narratives, and public-facing projects.
02
Visual Narratives
I use film, motion graphics, design, and digital media to make complex ideas engaging and easy to understand. My work combines storytelling and visual communication to create memorable audience experiences.
03
Community Engagement
I develop projects that connect research, culture, and communities through public engagement, events, exhibitions, workshops, and collaborative storytelling. My goal is to help ideas move beyond institutions and reach wider audiences.
